Hi, I’m Aliyah, the owner and stylist behind Blended Studios.

I’m a 25-year-old social butterfly, creative at heart, and firm believer that great hair should make you feel like the very best version of yourself. I specialize in lived-in color, blonding, and seamless extensions, but my favorite part of what I do is creating a look that feels completely personal to the person sitting in my chair.

When you visit Blended Studios, I want you to feel comfortable, cared for, and free to be yourself. I’m a proud advocate for human rights, and my studio will always be a welcoming space for every person, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, identity, or background. Come as you are, tell me everything, and don’t be surprised if there’s a dirty soda or chai nearby.

My journey into the hair industry wasn’t something I had planned from childhood. I graduated high school in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic, with no clear idea of what I wanted to do. I knew a traditional four-year college wasn’t the right path for me, but beauty school kept crossing my mind. My mom worked in a salon throughout much of my childhood, so I had grown up around the industry and always thought there was something special about it.

I have always loved art, creativity, and the idea of owning my own business. Hair brought all of those things together in a way that finally made sense. While attending beauty school in 2021, I became certified in hand-tied hair extensions and quickly knew extensions would become one of my specialties. I graduated in April 2022 and began working behind the chair shortly afterward.

Seven months later, I opened BYALIYAHTAYLOR Hair Studio, the little dream that eventually grew into Blended Studios.

Looking back at how far I’ve come reminds me that you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. With a dream, a willingness to work, and a little courage, you can create something that once felt completely out of reach.

Blended Studios is my creative space, but it was created for you: a place to relax, feel understood, try something new, and leave with hair that feels authentically yours.
